碳納米管具有典型的層狀中空結(jié)構(gòu)特征,由六邊形碳環(huán)微結(jié)構(gòu)單元組成,是一種具有特殊結(jié)構(gòu)的一維量子材料。它主要由呈六邊形排列的碳原子構(gòu)成數(shù)層到數(shù)十層的同軸圓管。由于其獨(dú)特的結(jié)構(gòu),碳納米管的研究具有重大的理論意義和潛在的應(yīng)用價(jià)值,如它有望用作為分子導(dǎo)線,納米半導(dǎo)體材料,催化劑載體,分子吸收劑和近場發(fā)射材料等, 有望廣泛地應(yīng)用于諸多領(lǐng)域.
近幾年來研究表明碳納米管具有很好的催化特性,可以用作催化劑,替代金屬氧化物,甚至貴重金屬。 例如,碳納米管可用于烷烴脫氫反應(yīng)的催化劑,不僅顯著提高了丙烯、丁烯、丁二烯、苯乙烯等烯烴的選擇性,而且可以將工業(yè)路線的反應(yīng)溫度降低約200~300攝氏度,乙苯等烷烴氧化脫氫選擇性高于90%,且烷烴脫氫反應(yīng)溫度比現(xiàn)有工業(yè)化過程低200- 300度。
